PBI DIR-1000 MPEG2/MPEG4 Multimedia PCTV IP-BOX via DVB-S for digital satellite service is the first broadband platform that based on PC, it also is the broadband network solution to transfer digital TV service and multimedia data of satellite to PC through USB port. The user can use this machine to download data quickly and play the satellite digital TV service, just like movie, music, long-distance education and so on. PBI DIR-1000 enable to receive hundreds of free-to-air TV and Radio broadcasted by satellite, it also give access to the pay satellite TV programmes encrypted with the DVB standard. It includes a PCMCIA reader which is compatible with all CAM modules; Those give access to the main other existing encrypted bouquets based on DVB International Standard (with the required subscription smart card), for example Viaccess, Irdeto.
PBI DIR-1000 will make your PC becoming a digital personal Video Recorder, as it has combined with the advantage of the PC and satellite, the users could use this high speed and large capacity's PC to share the satellite broadband source and edit it.
